British Teenager Gina Ruck Scoops Sports Scholarship  Agnew

TEALBY teenager Gina Ruck, crowned British Pony Eventing Champion at Chepstow International Horse Trials in June, has been awarded a talented athlete’s sport scholarship by British Eventing.

The 16-year-old’s latest success is a further step to her aim of representing Britain in eventing at the 2012 London Olympics.

This award is given to students in full-time education who are achieving as athletes in their sport. It will allow Gina the funding to access more specialized training for both herself and her horses throughout the country and hopefully with her home-produced six-year-old horse Rehy Too already on the Equine 2012 Pathway – through his achievements in 2008 – Gina will be on her way to achieving her next goal of Junior Selection in 2009….
