Junior Riders Shine During Clinic in Paradise Farm’s Better Riding Through Knowledge ’09

There’s absolutely no substitute for education and experience, and the riders who participated in Paradise Farm’s Better Riding Through Knowledge ’09 this weekend had an opportunity to learn from an advanced level rider while improving their skills.

The next clinic in the series will be held Jan. 31 through Feb. 1.

A group of male riders honed their show jumping skills Saturday, and junior riders took to the cross country course and followed that phase of their schooling with lessons on the flat.

The horsemen were under the guidance of Paradise Farm’s Lellie Ward, an advanced level eventer, professional trainer and clinician, who imparted her knowledge to the eager students who listened intently and had the opportunity to apply what they learned at the clinic.

“The men’s group worked on show jumping, and they were great. The group of juniors is going to be stars,” said Ward. “Everyone who’s participated has worked really hard, and they’re really enjoying themselves.”…
