Kentucky Children’s Hospital Needs Volunteers for Rolex Event

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 27, 2009) − Kentucky Children’s Hospital needs volunteers during the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event, a world-class equestrian event featuring dressage, cross country and jumping. Volunteer opportunities are available April 21-26. In appreciation of the work of volunteers on behalf of Kentucky Children’s Hospital, the organizers of the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event make a significant donation to the hospital.

All volunteers enjoy the following benefits: an admission pass that can be used each of the four days of the event; volunteer parking pass; one lunch ticket; store discount of 20 percent (does not apply to clearance shop); and, best of all, volunteers can feel good knowing they helped make a donation possible to support health care for children.

Volunteers helping with set-up will be taking shirts and other merchandise out of boxes, folding and placing them on display. Days and times available for these opportunities include: Tuesday, April 21 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. and Wednesday, April 22 from 8:30 am. to 1:30 p.m.

Volunteers in the Main Shop will be keeping merchandise on display in order, assisting customers, and bagging merchandise. Days and times available for these opportunities include: Thursday, April 23 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 1:30 to 6:30 p.m.; Friday, April 24 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 1:30 to 6:30 p.m.; Saturday, April 25 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 1:30 to 6:30 p.m.; and Sunday, April 26 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 1:30 to 6:30 p.m.    For more information and if you would like to volunteer, e-mail Anne Johnson, 2009 Rolex Volunteer Coordinator, Kentucky Children’s Hospital, or call (859) 323-8091.
