Blenheim Goes ‘On the Buses’
Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials is trying out a new way to make the General Public aware of the thrill and entertainment provided by the sport of Eventing by going on the buses – that is by advertising on the back of buses in Oxford and the surrounding areas.
In August a targeted four week campaign will commence, aiming to encourage local residents to come for a great day out at Blenheim. “With cross country now on Sunday for the new CIC***8/9 year old star spotter class as well as the CCI cross country on Saturday, Blenheim provides a great opportunity for families with children in school on Saturday or those who work on Saturdays to get the chance to watch top class riders going across one of the best cross country courses in the UK” says Event Director Mandy Hervieu. “We want to get more local people to come and experience the event as there is so much to see and do – great shopping, interesting displays and demonstrations and of course top class riders and stunning horses.”
Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials runs from the 1oth – 13th September and is the largest three star event in the UK. Attracting over 50,000 visitors and some of the world’s top riders and their up and coming horses, it is renowned for excellent going, challenging but fair cross country courses and a friendly, well organised event in one of the most spectacular locations in the country.
Visitors who wish to attend the trials can save a considerable amount of money by booking their tickets in advance through the box office on www.blenheim-horse.co.uk or by calling 0871 789 4037 between Monday and Friday 10am – 4pm. Some tickets are subject to availability and may not be available on the day (Allocated grandstand seats for Grandstand A and much of B is sold out as are Lake View Picnic passes and course walks).
