The Cross County School Everyone’s Talking About

Littleton Manor Equestrian (“LMEQ”) are proud to announce their first Cross Country Schooling clinic will take place on 3rd October with Irish International Three Day Event Rider Sacha Pemble taking on the teaching duties.

Recognized as one of the best Cross Country riders of her generation Sacha will have recently returned from Fontainebleau and the European Eventing Championships and hopes to pass on her experience on a course she describes as “probably the best Cross Country Schooling Course in the South East”.

Built in the winter of ‘08/’09 by Badminton Course Builders The Willis Bros, LMEQ XC has been specifically designed as a schooling course and boasts a vast selection of fences ranging from the very small to British Eventing Intermediate difficulty with the emphasis on technicality rather than size.  LMEQ told us:

“The principle behind the design and build of the course was always to make it the perfect training venue for Cross Country Schooling for rider’s of all abilities.  We asked International Eventing Trainer Lucy Thompson to tell us what the ideal layout of fences would be for clinics and Willis Bros made that possible – we were delighted when Oliver Townend told us we’d got the mix just right!”

A number of Pony Club’s have recognised LMEQ’s potential for Camps in 2010 too and have made inquiries whilst the centre is listed as a London 2012 Olympics Pre Games Training Centre.  With livery available and other facilities for hire that include a mile of Gel Track gallop, a new 60m x 50m show jumping arena filled with Jump 4 Joy fences and flood lit International dressage arena (both built by Maple Arenas in 2008 using their fabulous Combi-Ride surface) and grass arena facilities it’s easy to see why so many equestrians are talking about LMEQ.
